Bob Bailey Elected to Serve Remainder of Jamie Crum's City Council Term

On September 27, 2021, Jamie Crum announced her resignation from the City Council. Crum was elected in the 2013 General Election and sworn in on April 15, 2013.  She served on the City Council representing Ward 2 for over 8 years and the City of Augusta wants to sincerely thank her for her service.

At the October 4, 2021 City Council meeting, the Council elected Bob Bailey to serve the remainder of Jamie Crum's unexpired term, which will expire at the first meeting in January 2022.  Bailey is currently the only candidate filed to run for Crum's Ward 2 Council seat.  He has also been on the City Council previously, serving the remainder of former Councilmember Paul Belt's unexpired term from March 2019 to January 2020.

Bob Bailey is a retired Augusta resident who has previously worked in aerospace and other types of manufacturing and attended Butler County Community College and Wichita State University.  He has been involved in Augusta little league football and basketball, the Augusta Historical Society, and Community Caring Center. Bailey also currently serves on the Augusta Park Advisory Board.
