Kayaking
Kayaking
Santa Fe Lake is home to a steadily growing sport-- Kayaking! SFL has the sights and the calmer lake waters well suited for kayaking. The SFL river system is a gorgeous paddle with tiny coves to explore. Expect to see turtles and ducks aplenty. Although lakes can be hard to kayak because of their size, SFL has the 'medium' size feel that allows for a non-exhausting adventure but certainly enough to explore time and time again!

Fishing
At this time all Fishing is CATCH AND RELEASE ONLY.
Fishing is all about relaxing-- and even doing a whole lot of nothing. Weather you're boating for the day or camping, about every campsite backs up to the lakefront. So you can't help but toss in a line for a little while.
Whether you are a child or full grown adult, fishing at Santa Fe Lake is a great opportunity to explore the shoreline and surrounding areas. Fishing is another way to tap into the natural beauty surrounding the lake. For some it's about exploring--for some, its about being lazy and doing absolutely nothing.
Wherever you fit in between, it is just one more way to experience the Santa Fe Lake Effect!
