I have a resume. Where can I drop that off?
Please upload your resume to your application via the applicant tracking system. In fact, if you upload your resume and click the 'auto-fill' button, the system will automatically fill in the application with information from your resume. Please note: you should still check on the auto-filled sections to ensure it filled correctly.
How often are jobs posted to the Employment Opportunities page?
Jobs are added when positions open. There are no set posting dates.
Does the City of Augusta offer computers for public use, to apply for City jobs?
The Augusta Public Library has computers available for public use. We encourage everyone to check out the library!
How do I know that my application was submitted?
You will receive an email from "firstname.lastname@example.org" noting that your application was submitted.
If I am hired by the City of Augusta, when would my benefits begin?
Benefits are effective on the 1st of the month following 30 full days of employment.
How long does it take to get hired on with the City?
While our goal is to fill positions as quickly as possible, business needs sometimes take precedent. The number of vacancies could also affect this timeline.

What is the dress code for City workers?
This depends in which department you work. Some departments are provided uniforms that require specific laundering while other employees are provided logo apparel and denim work pants. Office staff dress is business casual.
