Street Sales Tax Advisory Committee

The Street Sales Tax Advisory Board develops a list of street repair projects to recommend for consideration to the City Council. Projects are paid for out of the City's 1-cent local sales tax, and, beginning in 2017, the City has utilized a three-year financing package strategy.  The current form of the Street Sales Tax Advisory Committee was established by Resolution 2019-16 passed on September 3, 2019.  Eight of the committee members are appointed by each of the City Council members and a ninth member is appointed from the Planning Commission.

Committee members serve indefinite terms until they are officially replaced by a new appointee.  The Street Sales Tax Advisory Committee shall make recommendations to the City Council for street maintenance packages on whatever schedule the Council may establish (currently every three (3) years).
