Construction Projects

The City of Augusta is committed to improving walkability by closing the gaps in the existing sidewalk/trail network to create logical loops. This project involves the construction of new sidewalk connecting the existing sidewalk along Belmont Avenue west of the Augusta Public Schools district office to the intersection at Belmont Avenue and Ohio Street, followed by construction of a new eight-foot trail on the west side of Ohio Street from Belmont Avenue to the Shryock Park walking trail.

The estimated construction cost for this project is $145,000. Pride & Progress Initiative sales tax revenues will finance this construction project in 2019.
