Economic Development

The Global Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is the most pressing economic development challenge in Augusta and the world at large.  In response to the pandemic, the federal government adopted the CARES Act to funnel unprecendented amounts of money into the economy for business support.  Some of the new programs created such as the Payroll Protection Program are administered directly through the federal government.  Other programs have been directed through state and local governments to adminsiter.  Here is a listing of active grant programs for small businesses in Augusta.
