GARAGE SALE REGULATIONS
Garage Sales in Agriculture and Residential Districts
Section 13030 of the Zoning Regulations
  1. Garage sale, yard sales, rummage sales and other such sales shall be permitted as a temporary use in all agriculture and residential districts.
  2. Such sales shall be limited to not more than two (2) sales in any calendar year with each sale lasting for not over three (3) days on any residential lot.
  3. No sales shall be conducted until the property owner secures a Garage Sale Permit from the Community Development Department - Inspection Division.  There is no fee for the permit.
  4. Tempoary signs shall not be placed on private property or adjacent public right-of-way without the consent of the peropty owner.  No signs of any type other than signs placed by agencies of the government shall be placed on any publicly owned or maintained property.  Signs shall be removed by the following Monday morning.  A fee of $3.00 per sign shall be charged to the property owner for each reclaimed sign the Inspection Division picks up.
  5. Temporary garage sale, estate sale, auction or other temporary sale sign shall not be affixed to any utility or power pole.
