Employee Assistance Program

This benefit is provided to equip and empower employees and their eligible family members to work through and overcome the challenges that may affect wellness, happiness and productivity, enhancing life both in and out of the workplace. Some examples of services include: telephone consultation, counseling sessions, legal consultation, money management, web-based resources, employee training, and monthly newsletters. The City provides 100% of the cost of this premium.

Gym Membership

The City provides a monthly stipend towards the cost of a Greater Wichita YMCA membership. As a City employee the initial joiner fee is waived, and a discounted rate is provided.

Wellness Day

The City is committed to ensuring employees utilize their preventative care benefits provided thru health insurance. Eligible employees are provided paid time off to utilize solely for the purpose of completing their annual preventative care.

Wellness Platform

City employees and their spouse/partner have access to a wellness platform that provides a one-stop connection for multigenerational populations to access relevant resources covering every aspect of wellbeing. These include balance, community, mindfulness, nutrition, physical, purpose, and social wellbeing.

Insurance Premium Reduction

When City employees complete their annual preventative care exam and submit the necessary documentation, they qualify for a reduction in their next years' insurance premium increase.

Credit Union Membership

Employees of the City of Augusta are eligible for special benefits at Mid American Credit Union. Your membership advantage gives you access to our full line of personal banking services designed to meet your needs. Though MACU doesn't have an office in Augusta, they do partner with other credit unions in the CO-OP Networks Shared Branches and ATMs program.
